Millwall FC Football Academy Partnership

Christ the King Sixth Forms is proud to launch an exciting new Football and Education Programme at CTK Emmanuel, delivered in partnership with Millwall Football Club. This unique course is designed for 16–18 year-old male and female footballers who want to combine high-level football development with a nationally recognised Level 3 qualification fully embedded within their sixth form timetable.

The programme allows students to remain focused on their academic studies while benefiting from a professional football environment. Players will train for up to nine hours per week under the guidance of UEFA-qualified Millwall FC coaches, following a first-team training model. Sessions focus on developing technical, tactical, and physical performance.
Students will also compete in weekly fixtures on Wednesday afternoons against professional clubs, academies, and colleges across the UK, providing valuable match experience in a high-performance setting.
The course is delivered by experienced Millwall academy coaches alongside CTK teaching staff, including sports lecturers and English and Maths specialists. Students will benefit from access to excellent facilities, including opportunities to train at Millwall’s stadium, The Den.
Alongside their studies, learners will complete BTEC Sport and Coaching qualifications at Levels 1, 2 & 3, as well as the FA Level 1 Coaching Qualification, with the option to progress to Level 2. These qualifications support progression into university, apprenticeships, and careers in football and the wider sports industry.
Player development is enhanced through performance analysis tools such as VEO and STATSports, providing match footage and data insights to support individual progress.
With strong academic and pastoral support, this programme enables students to excel both on the pitch and in the classroom.
