Pastoral Care
Be motivated with our extensive student support
You will be motivated to achieve your full potential at CTK Emmanuel, thanks to our combination of academic excellence and exceptional pastoral care.
Students of every faith, and none, are warmly welcomed at our Catholic sixth form and enjoy the benefits of our strong community ethos.
We provide an environment of positive encouragement and mutual respect. This ethos is fully supported through the work of our Chaplaincy, where the team will celebrate with you in times of joy and listen or advise you in times of difficulty. You are never alone at CTK Emmanuel.
We are committed to helping you achieve the qualifications you need for university and to helping you on the path to a successful, fulfilling career. However, we also want you to be ready for your future. That means making sure you develop the life skills and attributes you need to succeed and thrive – resilience, confidence, courage and creativity.
What to expect – your tailored sixth form experience
When you have your interview with us, our tutors will discuss your options and help you make the subject choice that is right for you. Once your application has been accepted, your study programme will be timetabled around your needs and you will be placed with a tutor group.
Your Personal Tutor will stay with you throughout your time here and will regularly review your progress, help with any difficulties and work with you to set achievable short and long-term goals.
You will be given extensive academic support outside of your lessons, including subject-specific workshops, help with homework, coursework or revision, and study skills sessions.
Parent feedback
Parents are encouraged to be actively involved in your success at CTK Emmanuel. Formal reports are provided five times a year and regular Parents’ Evenings enable you and your family to discuss your progress, ask questions and respond to your tutor’s comments.
Students with additional needs
For students with disabilities, or where English is not your first language, we have a dedicated learning support area with experienced staff. Once your application has been reviewed, we will contact you to discuss your needs so that we can make all reasonable adjustments to help you succeed.
Apply now to be the best you can be at CTK Emmanuel.
