Diwali

Diwali, a significant Hindu festival observed in the autumn, is commonly referred to as the “Festival of Lights.” This celebration represents the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. During Diwali, residences and establishments are adorned with petite oil lamps known as diyas. The radiance emitted by these diyas is believed to usher the goddess Lakshmi into households, signifying prosperity and joy for the upcoming year. Diwali is a period for families and friends to unite, share meals and sweets, and offer prayers for well-being, wisdom, and serenity.

At CTK, we organised our own Diwali event, providing an opportunity for staff and students to come together as a community and rejoice in the festivities.
