BTEC SPORT BTEC LEVEL 3 NATIONAL EXTENDED DIPLOMA Content Students learn to use digital technologies to solve problems and create digital products, developing practical skills in multimedia, graphics, web design, and basic programming. The course also covers managing information, understanding computer systems, and working with data safely and securely. Throughout, students plan, create, and evaluate digital projects, applying creative and technical skills in real-world contexts to prepare for further study or careers in digital and creative sectors. This course is ideal for students who want to develop practical digital skills and explore how technology is used in everyday life and the workplace. Combining hands-on learning with essential IT knowledge, this course helps students build confidence in using digital tools and creative software, providing a strong foundation for progression to Level 3 study (such as T Level in Digital Software Development) or entry-level roles in IT and creative industries. Entry Requirements Minimum of 4 - 5 GCSEs at Grade 3/4 or above, including English and Maths. INFORMATION AND CREATIVE TECHNOLOGY BTEC LEVEL 2 FIRST DIPLOMA Assessment Assessment is coursework-based, with no external exams. Students complete practical projects and assignments that showcase their skills in creating digital products, multimedia content, and IT solutions. (EQUIVALENT TO 4 GCSES) Content You will develop knowledge, understanding, practical skills, and appreciation of the context in which sports activity takes place. You will study topics such as anatomy and physiology, fitness training and programming for health, sport and well-being, sports leadership, sports event organisation, development and provision of sport and physical activity, coaching for performance, professional development in the sports industry, sports psychology, practical sports performance, application of fitness training, rules and regulations, investigating business in sport, skill acquisition and research methods. This course is for those wishing to pursue a career in sports development or jobs in coaching and the fitness industry, sports therapy and rehabilitation and business in sports, for example marketing. It is also appropriate for progression into teaching roles that would be entered through specialist degree routes. As an option, students may also have the opportunity to engage with the Millwall Football Academy, gaining knowledge into elite sporting environments and professional performance pathways.
