T LEVEL Content This course provides a broad understanding of the construction industry alongside specialist technical knowledge. Students will study topics including construction science and principles, sustainability, digital technologies, surveying, design processes, health and safety, and project planning. Through practical activities, employer-led projects and a substantial industry placement, students will develop the technical, professional and problem-solving skills required for a successful career in the construction sector. Develop the technical knowledge, practical skills and industry experience needed for careers in construction, including architectural technology, building surveying, civil engineering, construction management and quantity surveying, with progression to university, higher apprenticeships or skilled employment. Assessment The assessment is a mixture of externally set assessment with the Core assessment, Employer Set Project, Vocationally relevant work experience and a Synoptic assessment. This two-year technical qualification is designed for students who want to pursue a career in software engineering or digital technology. The course combines classroom learning with practical industry experience, helping students develop coding, programming, and software development skills that are directly relevant to the workplace. Content This course provides students with the knowledge and practical skills required to design, develop, and test software applications. Students learn key programming concepts, including algorithms, data structures, and coding using modern programming languages. The course also covers software design, user experience, testing and debugging, version control, and secure development practices. Learners gain an understanding of how digital systems work, including networking, databases, and cyber security. Through practical projects and an industry placement, students apply their skills to real-world problems and develop the professional behaviours needed for careers in software development and the wider digital sector.
